Clinical Psychologist
About
Hello, my name is Stephanie (she/her). I am an AHPRA registered Clinical Psychologist. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and completed my master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology at the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology-Stanford University Psy.D. Consortium in Palo Alto, California. I have over 15 years of experience providing mental health care to diverse clients.
Prior to moving to Australia, I worked in a variety of settings in the US including university counseling centers, hospitals, community mental health clinics, and in private practice. In addition to my clinical work, I ran a clinical training program for master’s and doctoral psychology students. I enjoy providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. I use an integrative therapeutic approach to help clients achieve their goals. I have extensive training and experience providing evidence-based treatments like Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Gottman Method for couples.
I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. I use my expertise to help clients gain new perspective, identify and overcome barriers, cope with life transitions, cultivate self-compassion, and develop skills to create a life worth living. Together, I help clients identify their strengths and bolster resilience. Providing warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative support is at the core of my practice.
My areas of expertise include the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma, eating disorders and body image, identity exploration including gender identity and gender affirming support, emerging adulthood, transition to parenthood, mindfulness and self-compassion practices, and multicultural concerns. My personal experiences as a multiracial person who grew up in America makes me passionate about supporting diverse clients. I enjoy working with clients varying in age, gender identity, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, health concerns, nationality, and religion.
Please reach out if you'd like to learn more about my practice. We can find time for a brief chat.
